What are nappy cakes?

Nappy Cakes & Baby Showers, originating in the USA are now increasingly popular in the UK & all over Europe. The wide use of the internet and a particular episode of Sex In The City increasing people's awareness.

All our Nappy Cakes look sensational, contain quality goods, some fun and many practical. With many items such as socks, scratch mittens, blankets, bootees and up to 90 nappies to a cake it makes an ideal starter pack for a new Mum.

Nappy Cakes make great gifts for any new parent. Longer lasting than flowers (often banned from hospitals), far more practical and sure to turn every head on the maternity ward.If you are planning a baby shower, Our nappy cakes make an ideal centrepiece for the party table.

Nappy cakes, although containing many items for a new baby, are ultimately a present for the new parents. Please ensure that all items such as ribbons, elastic bands, packaging, tags etc are removed before giving to a small child.

What size are your nappy cakes?

Our 1 Tier nappy cakes are 7" wide, Our 3 Tier Nappy Cakes are 10" wide, our Classic Nappy Cakes are 11" Wide and our Deluxe Nappy Cakes go up to a whopping 15" wide.

Can you use eco-friendly nappies in my order?

All our Nappy Cakes are made with quality disposable nappies (usually Huggies) - if desired, we can substitute them for an eco-friendly brand. Please add the eco-upgrade to your order (at foot shopping page). We can also create a nappy cake using re-usuable, washable nappies. Can you deliver my order direct to the recipient?

Yes, that's fine. Please make sure you have contacted us with the delivery name & address, along with any message you would like us to write on the gift tag for you.

How are your nappy cakes packaged for delivery?

All Nappy cakes are placed onto a white cake board before being securely gift wrapped in cellophane and tied with a large co-ordinating bow, ribbons & gift tag. (we will hand write this tag with a message of your choice if you have elected for delivery direct to the recipient).

All Cakes are then placed into sturdy boxes and well packaged and cushioned for their journey. All small items including 1 Tier Nappy Cakes are generally sent via Royal Mail & larger items via YODEL (DHL), parcelforce or Myhermes. Proof of postage is always obtained from Royal Mail & most items delivered via courier are tracked online and will need signing for upon delivery.

Nappy Cakes ordered for delivery within the Ilchester, Yeovil, Somerset, area will usually be hand delivered, gift wrapped (unboxed) by private courier, at a reduced rate (discount will be in form of refund on completion of order).

Can I collect my nappy cake in person?

Customers are able to collect their purchases from our base in Ilchester, Near Yeovil, Somerset with prior agreement. Please request collection on your checkout notes. P+P will be refunded. Cash payments also accepted in this instance. A deposit may be required. Please contact us using the form above.

How long will delivery take?

Our nappy cakes are handmade to order and dispatched as soon as possible. Please allow 3 working days for dispatch. Much of the time items will be made and sent earlier than this, but to avoid disappointment, please allow this time from order to dispatch.

Most items arrive within 24 hours of leaving our premises. If you are running to a tight schedule for an event such as a baby shower or Birthday party, do let us know, so we can offer you an upgrade on your delivery service to overnight.

I cannot see 'quite' what I was looking for on your site, can you custom make a nappy cake for me?

Absolutely! We can design a nappy cake to your budget and requirements. If you are looking for a gift for twins or triplets, for instance, ANY of our nappy cakes can be adapted to suit . If there's a particular theme you would like eg: Winnie the Pooh, we will also do our best to arrange that for you. - please do visit our gallery pages for some ideas.

Do you deliver outside the UK?

YES we do. If you wish to order for delivery to Europe, Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight and the Scottish Highlands & Islands please email us for a P+P quote.

Pay with your debit or credit card or E-Cheque. Paypal is a secure online payments system, enabling you to pay your retailer with total security knowing your details are never passed on to them. It does not cost you anything to pay in this way, nor do you need to have a Paypal account.

Terms

MillyDawn's Nappy Cakes can accept no responsibility for goods delayed due to the services of Royal Mail or Courier.

Proof of postage is obtained for all smaller goods sent by Royal Mail. (a recorded service will be used upon request, please contact us so we can update your invoice)

All larger items are sent via courier on a tracked delivery.

If an 'ingredient' becomes unavailable, it may be replaced by an alternative item of equal or greater value.

You will be notified on the day that your goods have been dispatched via e-mail.

Placement of an order is not a guarantee of contract. Your order will be confirmed promptly via e-mail.

Privacy Policy

Any personal information you provide to MillyDawn's Nappy Cakes, will only be used in the process of completing your order or to contact you with any queries (unless signed up to our mailing list) . Your details are never passed on to any other parties.

We may decide to publish any feedback you give us, in which instance any details which would personally identify you will not be published. Please inform us if you wish your feedback to remain private.Your wishes will be respected.
